General Info:
Terre creates large charcoal and pastel drawings—detailed, ethereal images. She usually starts by making random marks on a charcoaled piece of paper, then relies on her intuition to form the image. Mostly figurative work, it sometimes includes birds drawn from photos she took.
A third-generation South Florida native, Terre is a daughter of Tommie Rybovich, noted sport fishing boat designer and builder. Like her father, Terre works at the edge of her expertise, ever exploring.
Terre has a Bachelors in Politics and Economics from New York University, and a Masters in Rural Sociology from Wisconsin-Madison. Her first career, funding grassroots community and agricultural development, instilled daring she now channels into drawing.
Her work has been exhibited throughout Florida and is in private and public collections. It was juried into the Viewing Program of the Drawing Center in New York City in 2004.
