I am a former educator who has enjoyed creating and making art for a very long time. Looking back on my life I have always been drawn to the arts. As a young girl making sketches of dresses from fashion magazines, because my mother and godmother were seamstresses. Then in my early twenties I started a craft business with a friend. However, my career took me down a different path and art was something I longed to do but just never had the time to do anymore. About 5 years ago an opportunity came up that allowed me to start taking art classes again and exploring and creating my own art. It actually started as a way to fight stress and then became what I really wanted to do all the time. I asked God to help me to be a better artist and to help me see things better so I can paint them. For me personally it was truly a gift from God. All of a sudden I could see things in a different way and my drawings started to get better.

I am still evolving as an artist but I was able to recently retire from education and I'm looking forward to pursuing a full time career in art. I was born in Puerto Rico and my mother is Dominican but I grew up in South Florida, so the ocean has always been a big part of my life. I have been blessed with 3 wonderful children, 3 beautiful grandchildren and an amazing husband David, who not only supports me and all my crazy ideas but also keeps me grounded when my feet refuse to touch the floor.
