Mary Dee has devoted most of her professional life in developing her exceptional artwork and in leading others to create their own art. She participates in selected art shows and has accepted many awards including "Best of Show" at the 2015 Annual Exhibition of the Art Guild of the Purple Isles, Key Largo, FL.
Mary Dee completed undergraduate studies in Fine Arts at Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA. She was granted a Master's Degree in Art Education as well as a Master's Degree in Adult Education from Florida International University, Miami, FL.
In her unique approach teaching, Mary Dee aims to bring out the best in artists at all levels. She taught painting in the Adult Education Program of Miami-Dade Public Schools for sixteen years and retired after another fifteen years teaching art in the public school system. Occasionally, she still teaches and conducts workshops privately.
I wish to spread the blissful appreciation of outdoor painting
in our ever beautiful South Florida landscape.
