Born in Santa Clara, Cuba but raised in Miami since the age of nine. This coming year, 2022 will mark the 50th anniversary of my arrival to this wonderful country we call the United States of America. Graduated from Florida International University with a BFA in sculpture and painting. For a few years I had a small studio and was living the great life of a starving artist.  But I met a wonderful woman with marriage being the outcome of that meeting and one thing led to another taking me to that chapter in my life which forced me to place my dreams aside and acquire a 9-5 job.  I also joined a Church and before you know it was doing missions trips to Mexico and falling in love with helping those in need.  
 
In the passage of those years the closest I got to producing anything resembling my artwork was through photography, which was always there as an outlet for my creativity but never truly filling my desire to create original work. I always found photography limiting while sculpture and painting providing freedom for full expression.   It wasn't until the pandemic came along that I was able to find the time to pursue my true creative passion which painting is one of them. Possibly in the near future I will return to sculpture, but space and resources are limited at this time. My dreams are still there and now they are no longer on the side lines.
